I maintain an application that recently started showing Oriental Characters
in some main form records. "at" said that this is caused by a form having
the record locks property set wrong and multiple users trying to edit the
record. When I checked, sure enough the record locks property of the form
was set to "no locks." I have found a way to recreate the data for those
records, but I want to prevent this problem in the future.
When I view the main form design view and change the record locks property
to "edited record," Access immediately generates an error report for
Microsoft and forces the application to close. Is there a way I can change
an existing application to record locks property the "edited record," or must
it be set to "edited record" when the form is initially created?
