Unable to change items in Calendar that have GMT timezone.

I recently moved back to the U.S. from Europe. I noticed when I changed my
timezone within outlook, a lot of my appointments did not change with the new
time zone. When I open these items in Outlook, they show the following in the
details in the reoccurrence: "(GMT+01:00) (no TZ description)". I tried using
the MS Outlook Permanent Time Zone Change Tool, but it doesn't have any GMT
timezones, only UTC.
How can I change all of these items to the new timezone?
