Hello all,
I work in a large enterprise and we have recently moved to Exchange 2007
from 2003. We are using Outlook 2007 as our client. In active directory we
set the field ManagedBy to permit our users to update the mail enabled groups
that they are responsible for. Recently, these users have been reporting that
this functionality has stopped working.
I did alot of research and testing and i'm totally stumped. I can add
myself to the managed by field in AD, I can grant myself full control (or
just write) in the groups security settings and change the group all day long
from ADUC. But Outlook will not allow that same user account to change
members on its assigned list. Outlook insists that I do not have permission
to update this group's membership. I can then immediately do a run-as from my
local system and open up ADUC and change the group without any problems.
Any help would be great, thanks!
