unable to close archive folder

I have XP Professional SP3 using Office 2003. For some reason I am unable to
close any Outlook Archive folder - I keep getting the message " The operation
failed. An object could not be found." I have tried to re-archive the folder
and then close it but am unsuccessful I have also tried unsuccessfully to
delete the folder. Any help would be appreciated to eliminate this annoyance.

With OL closed, if you use the Mail Applet in the control Panel are you able
to remove the archive data files?

When I open the applet (under classic view) I have options for Email
Accounts, Data Files and Profiles. When I go into Outlook Data Files, select
and open my Personal Folders the archive folders are not displayed.

Create a new profile, add the data File and accounts, set it as default

Probably, there's no need to create a new profile. This tool can remove

That solution worked for me; could not close an archive folder in OL 2003.
I closed Outlook, ran the exe, "deleted unused services", opened outlook
again, and the archive folder was gone, but I can now open and close that
archive folder properly.
