unable to communicate

I add contacts and view them as "offline" when they are online. When I look
at the communications manager it tells me unable to communicate. When I click
"work offline" and then click "work online" it says communcating normally...
however, I still don't see any contacts viewed as "online" besides myself.

Any advice? this angers me.

Check your Groove connectivity - there was a posting in this form on 3/8/07
'Groove Client cannot connect'. It outlines the steps needed to check your
connectiity.
Can you send a Groove IM to the "offline" contacts and get a response?
