Unable to connect to exchange 2007

My Entourage 2008 was working perfectly with Exchange 2003. After our IT
department updated us to Exchange 2007, no joy. I can access my email using
OWA from the internet, intranet and using VPN. One change that did take
place after the switch to Exchange 2007 is that OWA access now uses SSL
access (https).

I have created new accounts in Entourage trying to access from inside and
outside the corp network.

Exchange version: 12.1.3
OS X 10.5.4
MacBook

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark!

For your server address try this:

server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

where (e-mail address removed) is your E-mail address.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bill. Thanks for the reply.

That's a great suggestion but no joy.

I've tried these:

server.domain.com/owa
server.domain.com/exchange
server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]
https://server.domain.com/owa
https:// server.domain.com/exchange
https:// server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

One of our IT guys thinks it is related to IIS-7 settings.

I can access our corporate email using webmail with any browser, and can do
from the internet or inside the corporate network.

After playing with entourage more this morning, I now realize that I do
connect, after entering my password. But no mail or public folders.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

If you have a very accommodating IT department, ask them to make sure they
are running Exchange 2007 SP1 with Rollup 1 applied. It is totally bizarre
but in my experience, this is the only Exchange 2007 install combination
that allows my Entourage client to connect. The subsequent Rollups 2, 3, and
4 to SP1 all break my Entourage connectivity.

Interestingly, reapplying Rollup 1 on top of Rollup 2 will restore my
Entourage connectivity, but this trick doesn't work if I try to reapply
Rollup 1 on top of either Rollup 3 or Rollup 4. I have to uninstall both
Rollup 3 and Rollup 4 and then reapply Rollup 1 to get things working again.

I'm both an Entourage user and the manager of our Exchange server and I
don't like having to keep Exchange unpatched just so I can connect
Entourage. I've paid the $500 to Microsoft for a service support session to
try to find an answer, but they never could come up with anything. (They
were kind enough to refund my money). I just wish someone from Microsoft
could go through the Rollup 1 code and figure out what makes it different
from the subsequent ones.

Anyway, hope some of this helps.
