Unable to connect to Exchange Server

Hello All,

I am having a problem with Entourage connecting to my company's
exchange server when using a modem connection. If I connect to the
internet using Airport or ethernet I can connect to exchange. This
only happens when I use a modem. I tried the built in powerbook modem
and also a broadband connect card which shows up as a modem in the
network system preference pane.
I checked the boxes for all of the ports available in Network Port
Configurations and made the broadband modem the first one on the
list.
I don't see Entourage trying to connect nor do I get an error message.
We use Checkpoint SecureClient vpn and that connects without problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. This is an exchange account.
