Unable to connect to SharePoint Services from PWA

Hello everyone,

This problem has me stumped.

When I go to manage Windows sharepoint services and try to save the
changes I make I keep getting a "Project Server cannot connect to the
specified Web server running Sharepoint Services. Please check the HTTP
protocols and the port numbers in both URLs."

I have installed both project server and sharepoint services on the
same machine. I have checked and rechecked the protocol and ports.

The thing that really gets me is when I click the Try URL and the
document link everything works fine.

I tried changing the proxy configuration but that did not work either

I applied all the service packs.

Tried changing my IIS settings but nothning seems to work. I simply
cannot configure SharePoint Services and I dont know why.

Any help would be really appreciated.

SharePoint Administration Web Site in the link below
