Unable to connect to SQL Database

"[DBNMPNTW]Specified SQL server not found." is the message
I get when trying to connect to a
product database on Access 2000 running on Win2k SP4.

The interesting thing is, I've been able to connect no
problem on another user's computer, also running Access
2000 - but on WinXP Pro.

Just reformatted & reinstalled Win2k & Office2k...no
change.

Short of installing XP Pro, is there anything I can try to
get it to work on _this_ computer?

Installing MDAC v2.8 did the trick.

It's a wonder that this issue isn't documented in a KB
somewhere, as you'd think that Win2k & Access2k are a
pretty common combination.
