Unable to convert old WordPerfect documents from "My Documents"

I cannot convert any my old (2000-2003) WordPerfect documents, and am
receiving the following Microsoft Msg: "The selected text converter is an
old version which does not work with the current version of Word (Office
Standard Edition 2003)". Please help me ASAP, if possible.

If you still have WordPerfect, then save them in a Word format from
there.
