Unable to create MDE message

I have a large Access 2k mdb which I convert to MDE for users on a regular
basis.
When I upgrade to an Access 2k03, I get the message in the subject with the
details indicating too many tables.
Is there any way to overcome this jet limitation for Access 2k03?
