Unable to delete a Calendar folder that is associated with a WSS s

Using Outlook 2003 SP2 and Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0. A user had linked
a WSS calendar from an existing site to Outlook. The WSS site no longer
exists and the user is wanting to delete the WSS calendar from Outlook. User
receives the following message: Unable to delete this folder. Right-click
the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the
folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your
permissions. The set of folders could not be opened.

Is there a way to delete a WSS calendar from Outlook after the WSS site has
been deleted?
