Unable to delete junk email and permenantly delete deleted email i

I have been trying to delete both junk mail and deleted email in Outlook
2007, but keep getting the message that an error has been found in the file
outlook.pst. I have followed all the steps and then some, but nothing works.
Incidently, the number of actual junk emails is 5, the number next the Junk
email folder reads (4294967295). This is very frustrating, please help.

Have you tried using the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.EXE_ on your PST?
You'll find it on the Microsoft Office Tools menu or in
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12

I have tried the Inbox Repair Tool, but, without success. First, I cannot
identify a single file to be fixed. Second, it simply will not execute when
instructed to. Hope you or someone has additional suggestions or even tell
me what I am doing wrong with the Inbox Repair Tool.

As it turns out, I cannot delete ANYTHING in Outlook 2007. I have tried
restore etc. and noth work. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. I
would rather not pay $49 for something that is an Outlook problem.
