unable to delete meeting from calendar

I am running Outlook 2002 on Windows 2000 Pro. I cannot
delete a meeting from my calendar. When i right click on
it and click delete I get the error message "unknown
error". When i double click to open the meeting, i get
the error "unable to open item". I can drag it from one
time to another but i cannot delete it. Any suggestions?

Try dragging it into the trash.

You could also try using the <Shift>+<Delete> keys
to delete it.
