Unable to delete multiple messages

I am running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on NT 4 SP6a. Clients are running Outlook
2000 SP3. Recently certain users are unable to delete multiple messages.
When they do Outlook freezes. They are able to delete single messages. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
