Unable to delete or move some sub-tasks in MS Project 2003

Some of my sub tasks in my project I just can't delete, cut or move.
No error message, nothing, it just ignores the reqest.
This also happens when I create a brand new project
There are no dependencies between any tasks.

Any help gratefully received.

I am not sure if this is your specific problem, but the patch they refer to
in the KB article does describe difficulties with subtasks. If you have not
applied the patch (and SP1), I would try that first.
