I am currently running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 6000, and have been
since February 2006. I installed Office 2000 upon receipt of my laptop and
haven't had any problems until now. No matter what I do, I cannot get the
shortcut bar to appear on my desktop. I have tried the "Start/All
Programs/Microsoft Office Tools/Microsoft Shortcut Bar" several times, all
with no results. I have run Norton thinking that perhaps something was
messed up behind the scenes. No luck.
The shortcut bar was visible on the morning of 11/21/07, but gone that very
same evening. I haven't installed any new software or downloaded any
programs or updates of any kind.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated!
