Unable to download Office 2007 themes

I have tried to download several themes without success. A 'thermometer bar'
appears, then I get a message telling me how to use the theme in Office. When
I look under 'Design' > 'Themes', the theme does not appear.

Dumb question: Do you have Office 2007?

I should have said earlier: I have installed Office 2007. I love the program,
but I want to be able to use non-standard themes, or all my PowerPoint files
will look like everyone else's.

I just noticed another problem:

I edited a built-in theme with my own elements, including a horizontal row
of graphic elements and a text footer.

When I browse the standard themes that come with Office 2007 (by hovering
the cursor over the thumbnails), those two elements appear on top of some of
the standard themes. However, when I apply the theme, the elements are not
there. It looks to me like somehow the theme "engine" has got corrupted for
some reason. Do I need to reinstall/repair the installation?

How did you edit the built-in themes? Where did you save them?
