Unable to edit a drawing or graphic within Word 2002

I need to be able to edit a graphic or drawing from within
a Word document. The name of the tool is Microsoft Draw
but I don't know where to get it. In Office 2000 SR-1, I
found it under the DISK 2 installation disk.

I think you can download it from the Microsoft Website. But
have you tried installing it from the Office 2000 Disk 2?
That disk should let you install individual apps, I think. To
use it to create a new drawing, you'd need to go over the
Insert/Object menu.

There is no specific version for Office XP. But Drawing
Tools to which you refer is an external applet that should
also interface with Word 2002.
