Unable to edit the workplan

Hello Team,

Today, when I open a work plan in Project 2007 (from server), the column
settings have been reset to their defaults. Even if I change them back and
save, they reset back when I open the file again.

At one point, MS Project reminded something like "changes to global template
cannot be saved unless it's checked out" or something like that.

Are you able to "unblock" the template changes so that I can format the
columns the way I want?

Let me know the steps to move further.

You CANNOT make permanent changes to any enterprise View or Table, such as
the Enterprise Gantt Chart view or the Enterprise Entry table. You CAN make
permanent edits to local Views and Tables, such as the Gantt Chart view or
Entry table. The only exception to this rule, however, is if your Project
Server administrator has added those local Views and Tables to the
Enterprise Global file. This would convert those local Views and Tables
into enterprise Views and Tables, meaning that NO ONE can edit them. Out of
curiosity, what View and Table were you trying to edit? Let us know and we
will try to help.
