Unable to enter data in New Contacts window

I am using Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP (SP2) Media Center Edition computer
and when I try to enter data for a new contact in the new contacts window I
experience the following:

If I ONLY enter the contact's name and e-mail address and click on Save and
Close the entry is included in the contacts list as well as the address book.

However, if I try to enter ANY additional information like phone numbers,
addresses, etc. related to the new contact, and click on Save and Close, I
receive an error message that an unexpected error has occurred and the
Outlook will have to close.

Any suggestions as to resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Have you run Office Diagnostics yet to detect and repair Office problems?

I ran detect and repair and this did not eliminate the problem.

I went to your website www.pragmatix.com.au and was unable to find the page
that listed the suggested settings for Outlook. Could I have more specifics
regarding the location of this informtion.

Thanks

It's on the Home Page "7 settings all Outlook 2003 users should change".
