Unable to get some sounds

L

Laurent Grenet

Hello,

I've an issue with some sounds in PowerPoint (2003)
On most of .pps, which include music, I'm not able to hear it on my Pc,
while I'm able to do so on other Pc.

So, to try to understand, I opened one of such .pps under PowerPoint,
and saved it under HTML format. In the file directory, I can find a
sound001.wav file, which is the correct music, and can be listened to
with WMP or other player, and seems perfectly OK

Second step, in PowerPoint, I change the music, replacing it by this
sound001.wav file.
no change, no music when playing the pps.

Thirs step : again in PowerPoint, I replace again the sound001.wav
music by another .wav file found on my Pc.
And this time, it works !

To be sure, I change again to put again sound001.wav... and silence !

Please, at least give me some idea !

Thanks in advance

Hi

Very strange. I have heard of bizarre issues relating to WMP 11 & PowerPoint
not getting on so I would suggest rolling back to WMP 10 and seeing if that
fixes the issue.
