I have an access db that utilizes an oracle back end to
store the tables. There is a trigger on the oracle side
to increment the primary key (Log Number) in the
database. On the access side the new Log Number does not
display in the designated field until the record is
saved. Therefore I have a macro attached to a mandatory
field that sends the database form to a previous record
(by 1) and then forward to a new record so that the Log
Number from the oracle table will show up in the form.
The problem arises now that when a new record is selected
and the macro is activated, instead of displaying a new
record the database displays an old record that was
entered prior. But when you look in the oracle table the
new log number and record are there.
Does anyone have any idea of how to solve this problem.
