I was successfully running Office 2000 and needed to have Access 97 also
running. I followed the MS knowledgebase article 241141 and all is ok with
the exception that I cannot now import spreadsheets into Access 2000 but it
does work in Access 97. I can click the "New Table" button, navigate to the
source, select the file, but when I click OK to begin the import nothing
happens; there is no lock-up or crash, just nothing happens. It would appear
that the Access 97 install replaced one or more of the Access 2000 files
(possibly dll's) in a shared area even though the Access 97 install was
specified to install to a named folder, not the default install folder.
Anyone got any idea which files I need to replace to resolve this or any
other method that would allow me to import spreadsheets into both Access 97 &
Access 2000?
