Unable to Insert File as Printout in 2007 Beta

When I try to insert a powerpoint file as a printout in OneNote 2007 Beta, I
get an error in PowerPoint saying, "Windows cannot print due to a problem wit
the current printer setup." and recommends checking the printer and its
driver, while the "Interting Documents" window that pops up in OneNote just
hangs with nothing in the progress bar. When I try to insert a pdf, the file
just opens in Adobe Reader and the "Inserting Documents" window again just
hangs.

I had OneNote2003 installed and decided to install 2007 beta separately
instead of upgrade so I could still run 2003. I also have the education and
experience pack installed for tablet pcs. Does this have anything to do with
the "send to onenote 2003" printer driver?

Thanks for any help,

Rob

Update: I uninstalled the "send to onenote 2003" from the education pack,
uninstalled ON2007, rebooted, and then reinstalled ON2007. This installed
the "Send To OneNote" printer driver for ON2007. I can now insert pdf's and
doc's as printouts, but when in try to insert a powerpoint as a printout, i
get an error that says: "OneNote has encountered a problem and cannot
complete this operation."

But, if I go into powerpoint and print to the "Send to OneNote" driver, then
it will show up in ON.

Why can I not insert powerpoint files as printouts from within OneNote 2007?

First of, the Send to OneNote 2003 printer driver is a problem. If it is
installed on a computer, the Send to OneNote driver of 2007 won't be
installed. The only remedy for that situation is to do exactly what you
did.
I imagine you just ran into an bug. Get the update for the beta (B2TR)
that will be released in a few hours and try again.

Obviously not :-( :-(

Having gone through Daniel's Blog (thank you so much for the most
valuable info <!!!!>) after a great dinner with a colleague and dear
friend, I did bite the bullet and uninstalled all of Office 2003 and
install all of 2007 Beta. And that's quite time-taking [siiiigh].

And right now the download is telling me that it might need another
1:03:30 hours.
So all what's left is: Wait & See.

A million of "Thanks" again for keeping us up-to-date.

Yours most thankfully

Rainald
