Unable to install ANY Office updates w/o disk

MSOffice 2000: Despite assurances and instructions on how it can be done, I
have never been able to install updates to MSOffice without the disk --
which, of course, I don't have (software came pre-installed on a company
computer). Word crashes regularly (once a week?) and I get a message that
there's an update to fix it...but I can't install it.

Hi Hyaline,

There usually arent' any assurances that you'll not need the CD (or the server it was connected to when installed). The MS
Installer software relies on having the original source available to make repairs, or add featueres.

If you're still working for the same company check with your administrator on getting access to the network or CD source.
