Unable to install Office 2003 SBE on Win XP SP2

A couple of days ago I applied SP2 to my Win XP computer. Everything was
working fine except... I tried to install a new copy of Office 2003 SBE and
am receiving an error indicating "This version of office is not compatable
with your system." which then closes the installer. I have been unable to
locate any information on similar errors within MS TechNet KB nor across
Internet. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
