I am trying to install the Outlook 2003 PST Backup program. When I run the
program is says that a previous version in installed. I try to uninstall
from within the application and it is unable to uninstall. I go into
add/remove programs and the program does not appear in the list.

Any ideas,

Thanks

Click Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options>COM Add-Ins>Add. Browse to
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office10\Addins (or Office11\Addins), select
outbak.dll and click OK.

Does this also work for Outlook 2007 Professional. I have the same problem

It should. Do you have the version of PFBACKUP that's intended for OL 2007?

Yes. I just downloaded it. I have found that the program is still installed
in one Vista account. The same pst file in my normally used account does not
have Basckup installed. When attempting installation I and first receive a
msg to uninstall currently installed Back up and then I get a Windows
Insrtaller msg"This action only valid for products that are currently
installed" I have attempted to uninstall it in the other account but receive
the same error msg.

PFBACKUP isn't installed in a PST. It is installed in a mail profile.
Following the manual instructions I've posted should allow you to see it in
either mail profile. Where does the process I outlined fail?
