Unable to install Visio Standard 2007

I get this error: "The file Visio.en.us\VisioMUI.msi could not be found".

I copied the entire disk to a folder and the same thing happened there. The
file is there, and I can physically see it.

Possible problems:

Had trial version of Visio Pro 2007 - problems with uninstall - but was able
to finally get it off. Have MS Office Pro 2007 installed and it is fine. I
have Vista Home Premium. It is on a laptop, and I have plenty of space to
install.


I ran a diagnostic on my office products and there were no issues. I also
ran a cleaner to find "orphaned" files from any programs. Thanks for your

If you're on Windows XP run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove
the installer into for Visio 2007 and then re-run setup. If that doesn't
work contact support 800-MICROSOFT or support.microsoft.com.
