Unable to instert chart onto slide

I am a IT person at a highschool in south florida. i've recently just begun
working with Macs so a lot of this is new to me.

Currentely, one of our teachers is having a problem inserting a chart into
her slide presentation. Every time she does this it pops up with an error
message saying that "The server application, source file, or item cant be
found. You should reinstall server application".

i researched the problem on the microsoft site but what they told me to do
with copying the prefs and trashing and such wasnt working. i've uninstalled
and reinstalled several times. i've done everything this newbie mac user can
think of.

please help.

Hi,

Is Office installed on a network drive or on the hard drive of the
problem computer?

When MacOS can't find a file or component often it is due to a problem
with file permissions. Did you try running Apple's Disk Utility to
repair permissions? Disk Utility is in the Utilities folder inside the
Applications folder.

reinstalled the os 9.2 and then reinstalled office and still nothing seems to
be working.
