Unable to launch browser

While using Word 2002...

I wish to use: Help button > office on the Web button >

Office Assitant says: "Unable to launch browser"

Does anyone know whats wrong with my program.

My Computer:
Windows XP Home Version,
Office 2000
Word 2002

The general explanation is that you had a third-party browser (e.g. Opera)
installed and then uninstalled it.

To fix this: Start IE. Under Tools | Internet Options | Programs, choose
"Reset Web Settings" and check "IE should check to see if it's the default
browser." Restart IE, then restart Office.

I have the same problem, can you tell me if you found a
fix, the one from the news group didn't fix my problem.
I'm trying to avoid formatting and starting over, I've
reinstalled Office and IE 6.0 still the SAME thing
