Unable to link documents to tasks using SharePoint serivce

Hi ,
I am able to upload documents / create risks and issues but when I try to
link them to tasks I recieve the following error :
"There are no tasks . either the project has not been published , or you do
not have permissions to view tasks in project web access " .
As i am an admin & the file is published , I assume this is not the case .
In addition , I do not see any team members added to the web site "team
members" group , even after I have sinchronized manually .
Does this problem have something to do with the fact that I am not using
windows authentication to log on to project serevr ?

In order to integrate windoze sharepoint services (i.e. documents, issues, risks) into your projects in PWA you need to use windows authentication.

When you go to issues, risks and docs are you prompted for another set of credentials? And if so, what credentials are you using?

Also, are your project workspaces being created automatically when you publish new projects? Or are you having problems with that too?

The easiest way to ensure users can get to the sharepoint workspace for any project is to add the users to the project team, give them assignments, republish the assignments and then synchronize the sharepoint workspace with the project assignment updates. And make sure they're using windoze authentication.

Thanks for the tips .
As to your questions : I am not prompted to any credentilas . I want to make
clear that I am able to upload docs , or crteate issues & risks on the site ,
but cannot link them to tasks .
The project workspace is created automatically .
When I try to add team members to the site , I get an " you must have a
compatabile address book with sharepoint"
.. I must add that we are not using outlook .
Is there a way to configure this using the project login authontication ?
