Unable to Link with WSS Site

Anbu

All,

I have successfully setup MS Project Server 2003 on Windows Sharepoint
Server 2003. Also I was able to access the Project Server from MS
Project Prof. 2003.

The Project Server is created as http://<server>:<port>/ProjectServer

Now I need to create links to store Documents, Issues and Risks. Also I
need to create a web site for General documents.

I created a site
http://<server>:<port>/sites/MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments for
general documents. But I'm unable to access the site from Project Web
Access.

Also I need to create separate web sites for other Projects. I tried
creating few sites and setting up the values in Project Server using,
Admin -> Manage Windows SharePoint Services.

But whenever I say Save Changes, I'm getting the following error, after
validating the connection (Project Server is validating the connection
to the specified server running Windows SharePoint Services).

***** Error Message *****
VbScript: Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003

The Project Workspace template is missing from the Web Server running
Windows SharePoint services.

Run the SharePoint Configuration Wizard on the Web Server running
Windows sharepoint Services and then update the connection information.

*********************
I'm not sure where I made mistake. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Anbu

Hi,
Apparently, you forgot to install the project server template.

On the CD of project server:
- second last option (just above Server installation)
- then "configure WSS"
- follow the steps

ps: you will need to delete the MS_ProjectServer_PublicDocuments you've
created because this configuration wizard will do this for you. Afterwards,
you will be able to set the connection string
