unable to load

In attempting to load PowerPoint 2002 to a machine running
Windows ME I received the following error messages:

a) MSIEXEC.EXE is linked to missing MSI.DLL -222

b) cannot launch c:\windows\MSI EXEC.EXE
a device attached to the system is not working

c) wrong OS or OS version for application

I need some help as the computer belongs to my step
daughter who goes back to college tomorrow.

Whatever ideas you have are greatly appreciated.
