unable to mail merge

I inserted a couple of forms in my word document.

After that I did a mail merge

I pressed the button "protect form"

now I am unable to merge and send the mail to all my
contacts
anyone know how i can solve this?

Hi Just1n,

Forms protection and mail merge were not designed to be
compatible. And anyway, form fields won't come through
properly in an email message.

Do you want to have the recipients be able to fill out the
form you're sending? Then you need to use the Web toolbar
and send in HTML format (assuming this is Word 2002)
