Unable to modify TableOfContents style

Hi all,

I'm using Word 2003 and I happen to want to modify style
"TableOfContents 1" (in my Spanish word it's calles TdC1, my
translation could not be accurate enough).

The problem is that, when I click on Menu/Format/Bullets and Numbering,
the style "TableOfContents 1" does not appear in the list of used
styles, but a style named "hyperlink" is present instead.

This "hyperlink" style is based on "TableOfContents 1" style, but I am
unable to modify the latter one.

Any ideas that might help?

Press Ctrl-Shift-S and see if "TdC1" is listed as one of the styles. If so,
edit it there.

Alternatively, select Format | Styles and Formatting. Then place your
cursor immediately to the right of the page number where one of the
instances of TdC1 appears in your Table of Contents.

Press left arrow once and you will see the top box in the S&F sidebar
display "hyperlink."

Press left arrow one more time and you will see "TdC1" display in the box.

Right click on that box and select Modify.
