Unable to move deleted tasks/contacts/calendar items to another folder.

I have an issue where a user prefers to keep his deleted items in his
Deleted Items folder for a
specific amount of time. I am trying to move several of his deleted
tasks/contacts/calendar items to another folder but it instead of
moving the objects, it attempts to convert them to attachments in an
email. I just want to move them to another folder in the same mailbox
of the user. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance.

To file Tasks, you need a Tasks foler. To file Contacts, you need a Contacts
folder. The Deleted Items folder is very special as it will hold all Types
of Outlook items. If you drop a whole bunch of assorted Items in a Mail
folder (I think that's what you did) it will convert all Items to Mail
items. Not what you want!

To make new folders, right click | new Folder| then set the "folder contains
items of type..." part. That's the trick. eg set it to Contacts to file his
Contacts.

Tell him he's in BIG TROUBLE from MVPs for filing in his garbage. Yuk. Not
going to his place for a meal.
