Unable to open calendar objects

Mighty Baboon

Hi,

I'm having a strange problem here, and I know it will be hard to get help
since I have no error message or good references I could give for this case,
but anyway, I'm desperate. The problem occurs on a Toshiba Tecra, running
Windows XP with Outlook 2003, both french version. This laptop is used by
the president of the company, and his assistant his always
creating/deleting/moving meeting in his calendar from his own desktop
workstation. The assistant have full access to the president mailbox.

The problem I have is that, once in a while, he won't be able to
create/delete/modify anything in its calendar. I've also noticed that if he
receive a request for a meeting, he won't be able to give an answer. The
only solution I found was to close all office application and restart
Outlook.Once this is done, everything is fine. I won't get any error
message, it will simply do nothing. I can click on the "accept" button of a
requested meeting for exemple; it will do nothing, it will simply stay
there. No error message, no cursor change, no hangup of the computer,
absolutely nothing. Same thing if I double click on a meeting in the
calender to modify something. It won't open; it will simply stay there.

The assistant is running a Win2k box with Office XP, both french version.

I've apply all office and windows patched on both computers (windows update
and office update)

This setup was running nicely before we upgraded the president laptop. The
old laptop was running on Win2k and Office XP, once again, all in french.

If anyone have anything about this case, please let me know.

Thank you.
