Unable to open Database Access Backup Database

Hi,

I am using MS Access 2003 for storing some of my data.
I am also creating the backup of the database on the daily basis. Yesterday
I encountered some issue for which I need to open the Backup Database.

But When I tried to ope the database I got the following error :

"MS Jet engine stopped the process because another user is access the same
database at same time"

Can anyone please help me to open this database?

(1) First, make a copy to work on.
(2) Then, try compact and repair on the copy.

This can happen if a database is corrupted. I believe the most up-to-date
repair technology in included in Access 2003 Compact and Repair, but... if
that doesn't fix it, if you have a friend or colleague running Access 2007,
you might ask them to open it in Access 2007 and/or try Compact and Repair
in Access 2007.

What is the environment in which you are using this DB? Single-user, single
computer, monolithic database (user interface and data in the same DB) or
split (user interface on user machine) linked to tables in backend (on same
machine, or in shared folder in same network), multi-user, ???
