We have an Access 2003 file on a Windows Server 2003 share. We have multiple
users working on this file. It works fine for all but 2 (all are running XP
Pro SP2). For those 2, when they double-click on the .MDB, nothing happens.
I checked Event Viewer, and there's nothing. However, after creating a
shortcut to the .MDB in the same directory as the .MDB, the 2 users can open
the database by double-clicking the shortcut. Additionally, if they open
Access on their computers first and then open-browse to the .MDB, the
database opens fine.
Can anyone tell me why these 2 users cannot open the database by just
double-clicking on the actual .MDB file? Thanks!
