Unable to open Excel

I am having a problem opening my excel. When I go to open it, a message box
comes up saying that Microsoft Office 2003 is installing and after it has
gone through all the downloading another message box comes up saying that
there was a fatal error. How can I get into my excel without this stupid box
coming up all the time?

Write down the EXACT error message and go to the Microsoft website and then
go to the Knowledge Base and type in the EXACT wording of the error message,
word for word, and you should find your answer.
