Tried to open a database file from two PCs hooked up to
server via LAN. Server has database file and never had a
problem but since yesterday both PCs show two
messages "Microsoft Jet Database engine cannot open the
file (name). It's already open exclusively by another
user, or you need permission to view it's data." File is
not open however and there is also a message that "Access
cannot find the file (name) and to be sure file path is
correct". Copied file to a CD and tried to read it from
the PCs and got the same message. Re-installed MS Office
2000 and got the same message. Please advise.
