unable to open files from disk

I am unable to open saved files from my old computer
using Office 97. I now have a new sytstem with windows
xp and have re-installed Office 97. I simply tried to
open a file I had previously saved on disk. I (The
Administrator) had no acces to files on the A; drive.
Upon further investigation, I could not view files on the
A; drive using My Computer either. Any suggestions?

You may want to copy files from A: and/or your CD-drive to your c:\ drive
and remove any read only attributes if there are any.

Files open easier and faster from the C: HD
