Unable to open module

On main Access form, have created buttons to select other forms. Has been
working OK but now when selecting button messge says "unable to open module".
This applies to every button created. Is this a visual basic error and how
do I rectify the problem as there are quite a few buttons to change

It sounds like you might be experiencing some corruption. First thing to try
is to import everything into a blank mdb (or ACCDB, if using 2007) file.
