Hi:
- I proceed as following:
- Call the server through ISDN line.
- Log in with user name and password.
- I can see all the folders on the server.
- I succeed on opening word and excel files, make changes and save them.
- When I try to open Access files, run the Access program, the following
error message pops up:
" CANNOT OPEN FILE IN MS ACCESS. THE FILE IS OUTSIDE INTRANET OR IN AN
UNDEFINED AREA.
UNABLE TO OPEN FILE IN MS ACCESS DUE TO POSSIBLE SECURITY PROBLEMS. IF YOU
WANT TO OPEN
THE FILE, COPY IT/THEM TO YOUR LOCAL MACHINE OR IN A NETWORK AT YOUR
DISPOSAL" (translation from norwegian text)
I'm running XP Pro and Office XP Pro.
Everything went fine with Windows 98 and Office Pro.
Server runs server 2000.
The only change that has been made is that the database has been converted
automatically to Access2002.
Everything in the local network works fine.
Best regards.
