Unable to open multiple projects from PWA Project Center page

I am getting the error "The selected project(s) could not be opened in
Project" when I select multiple projects in Project Center, and press
Open. I can open each project individually ok, but cannot open
multiple projects. We are using Project Server 2003 with SP2a and MSP
Professional 2003 with SP2.
