Unable to Open Office Documents in Office 2003

I have just installed Office 2003 Professional Edition on my laptop and its not opening no office documents at all .Each application i'm getting a different error message
For Word 2003 error msg. is The file (name of file).doc is not available
Excel 2003 error msg. The file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has detected a problem with the file
Access 2003 nothing at all is happening
PowerPoint 2003 error msg. Power Point can't read (name and location of file).pp

What do you all think is the problem.

Have you run Detect and Repair from the Help Menu?

Hi Jason,

In Norton AV, go to Options and in the Miscellaneous section turn off
"Enable Office Plug-in".
