I am a note taker for fellow students and email said notes but one of our
team members is unable to open the file(s) I've sent. What should I do to
correct the problem?
If you have OneNote 2003, and you also have Outlook 2003, you can use
the File | Send To | Mail Recipient command to send the OneNote page as
an email. It attaches the page as a .ONE file, but it ALSO puts the
contents of the page into the email as HTML, which can be viewed by the
recipient using an email client capable of displaying HTML messages.
The recipient need not have OneNote to view the message itself. (They
would have to have OneNote to view the .ONE file attachment, though.)
A version of OneNote is available for download and installation as a
time-limited trial. See:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/onenote/prodinfo/trial.mspx
for details.
This option is only available using Outlook 2003, though. OneNote will
not work with previous versions of Outlook.
