We have Microsoft Outlook installed on a server (in the Office Pro 2003
suite) and have remote users connecting to it. One user is unable to open
her account (*.pst file) and receives the following message everytime she
attempts to open the file: "cannot start microsoft office outlook. Unable to
open the Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened."
This problem has spread to other users who have previously existing
accounts, but I didn't have an account, and was able to open outlook without
associating it with any email address successfully.
I have tried the office resource kit that edits *.mst and *.msi files. I
also tried to repair it twice, but was unable to correct the problem.
Does anyone know of any solutions or recommendations to correct this?
