Unable to open PDF Files created in Word 2007

Hemihead dude

I created many PDF files and published them using Word 2007. I've been able
to print, save and reopen until now. I am unable to open them to allow for
changes in the existing PDF files I created. When I try, it is encrypted and
will not allow me to open. I tried to right click and it will not let me. I
don't know what to do at this point.
Please advise...

You are opening them in Adobe Acrobat Reader, aren't you? Word cannot and
has never been able to open PDF files.

Hey Terry,
Thanks for your quick responce!
I downloaded the PDF from the Microsoft website a while ago. I was just
opening the saved PDF files I created when I use the Word program and it
allowed me to open it and make changes and "publish" it and everything until
now. I go through the same process as I ever did, but now it's encrypted. I
can open them using Adobe, but it allows me to view only. How can I make the
changes I need before I publish it? How can Word be able to create and
publish PDF files without the ability to re-open them?

You are mistaken. Word has never been able to open PDF formatted files. The
free add-in lets you create PDFs, but does not let you open and read them in
Word. PDF files should be associated with the Acrobat Reader so that if you
double-click one, it will automatically launch Acrobat.

Sooo, does that mean that Word and Acrobat are not talkng or something? I
can't understand why I was able to launch the PDF's from the Word program and
I'm now unable? I can open the saved PDF's I created from the Adobe program,
but I'm unable to make changes to them. I created them in Word and was able
to make changes to them before by going into the Word program and finding the
right file.
What do I need to do at this point?
Thanks for your assistance!

You have to open the original Word DOCX, edit it and re-publish it in PDF
again. Word cannot and NEVER has let you open and edit a PDF. NEVER: your
memory is incorrect.

Perhaps at one time you had a full version of Acrobat Professional which
enabled you to make a PDF from Word but also let you open the PDF to edit it
at a later date. But you did not open it in Word.
